Hey everybody, guess what! Remember how for the last *coughmumbleindistinct* number of years I’ve been living in tiny towns in various middles of nowhere across the country? Remember how my plans to pursue acting were always held back by limited opportunity? You know how I've been itching to exercise my acting muscles in new spaces with unknown faces? Well, no more! On the first of July I packed up and moved up to Chicago, the Windy City, the non-union theatrical epicenter of the United States. I executed a rather impressive landing in Andersonville, about a 20-minute subway ride north of downtown and a 15-minute walk from the beach, and I absolutely love it. Inside of a week I’d landed employment at a coffee shop a half mile away, where the wages are pretty good and the tips aren’t bad either. Here’s a list of other things that I’ve done which have made me happy in this last month:
And recently I’ve started looking at auditions. No big news yet, but I’ve only been tracking them for a week or so. Trust me, when I land a gig y’all’ll be the first to know. So come on, Chicago. Let’s see what you’ve got. PS: Y'all'll is one of my absolute favorite phrases. Double contractions ftw.
